The Brushed family is a 220 gsm 75% Nylon / 25% Spandex knit with a lightly brushed face that gives a soft, slightly matte surface. It is the warmer of our two house knits and the one most buyers choose for autumn, winter and everyday studio ranges.
Because the brush lifts the surface fibres, the fabric also helps with opacity: pale and mid-tone colourways hold coverage better in this weight than in a lighter knit, which is why we recommend it when a buyer is nervous about a light colour.

Does the brushed surface pill?
Pilling is controlled by the fabric quality and by wash care. We recommend washing inside out in cold water and drying flat, which is what we put on the care label.
